नवी मुंबई महापालिकेच्या निवडणुकीत शिवसेना-भाजप युतीने  वाशी शिवसेना मध्यवर्ती कार्यालयात एकत्रित निवडणूक लढविण्याची घोषणा केली. भाजपला १४ जागा सोडून शिवसेना ७५ जागा लढविणार आहे.   एकूण ८९ जागांपैकी १४ भाजप आणि ७५ शिवसेना लढविणार असून शिवसेना-भाजप युती ६० जागा जिंकणार, ही काळ्या दगडावरची रेष असल्याचा विश्‍वास खासदार संजय राऊत यांनी व्यक्त केला. विधानसभा निवडणुकीच्या वेळी दोन विधानसभा मतदारसंघांमध्ये ६० प्रभागांमध्ये शिवसेना-भाजप युतीने आघाडी घेतली होती. नवी मुंबईचे नागरिक राष्ट्रवादीच्या एकाधिकारशाहीला कंटाळले असल्याने आता नवी मुंबई महापालिकेवर शिवसेना-भाजप युतीच सत्तेवर येणार, असा विश्‍वास  राऊत यांनी व्यक्त केला. नवी मुंबईमध्ये काही पोलिस एका नेत्याचे गुलाम असल्यासारखे वावरत आहेत. पोलिसांच्या साथीने बोगस मतदान व मतदान केंद्रे बळकावून राष्ट्रवादी निवडून येत आहे, असा गंभीर आरोप संजय राऊत यांनी या वेळी केला.  आमदार एकनाथ शिंदे, माजी आमदार दगडू सकपाळ, भाजपचे प्रदेश नेते सुरेश हावरे, नवी मुंबई शिवसेना जिल्हाप्रमुख विजय चौगुले, उपजिल्हाप्रमुख मनोहर गायखे, शहरप्रमुख डॉ. राजेश पाटील, हरिभाऊ म्हात्रे, सुरेश म्हात्रे, भाजपचे मारुती भोईर, भगवानराव ढाकणे, महिला आघाडीच्या रंजना शिंत्रे, त्रिवेणी सालकर आदी उपस्थित होते. आम्ही सर्वशक्तीनिशी नवी मुंबई महापालिकेची निवडणूक लढविणार असून शिवसेना-भाजप युतीचा शंभर टक्के विजय हेच आमचे ध्येय आहे, असे विजय चौगुले म्हणाले. भाजपचे प्रदेश नेते सुरेश हावरे म्हणाले, की नवी मुंबईत पाच वर्षांपूर्वी भाजपचे काहीच अस्तित्व नव्हते; मात्र आपण एक वर्षात भाजपला चढती कमान मिळवून दिली आहे.  मुलाखतीसाठी  इच्छुकांनी एकच गर्दी केली होती.
